Let the ideas and inspiration flow
See the many creative applications of Metropolitan's Kentwood and Evoke floors.
Inspiration finds you at the art-filled Gladstone House on Queen St W in Toronto.
Original art installations occupy guest rooms, lobby areas, and guests’ imaginations. Exposed brick walls, colorful lighting, and large mirrored walls set the table for this visual feast. Look down at the floor—or up at the ceiling if you visit the ballroom—to find Metropolitan masterpieces: Kentwood herringbone hardwood floors. Explore more of the lovingly re-imagined historic building to find Evoke rigid core flooring. Watch the video!
With its precarious profile and twisting facades, Vancouver House became an instant icon of Vancouver’s skyline. Conceived by architect Bjarke Ingels as an example of Gesamtkunstwerk, a total work of art, the pixelated tower rises from its narrow context among on-ramps and bridge supports, anchoring workspaces, retail, hospitality, shops, and more. Vancouver House boasts some of the most dramatic views in the city. The building residences offer drama aplenty, too —from kitchen islands that appear to levitate to the copper cladding that shimmers with reflected light.
