When My Design Studio’s cramped quarters could no longer handle their booming business, they made plans to create a new state of the art décor center that would grow with them for many years to come. My Design Studio works with Ontario builders to provide a space where future homeowners can select finishes for their new homes through a series of appointments with their talented design team. The new space has plenty of room to both showcase products in vignettes from their trusted suppliers and to house all of the available finish options in one convenient place.
Upon entering the showroom you are greeted with the first show stopping kitchen display, a luxe lounge and a grand central fireplace. The vibe is modern industrial glamour and there are plenty of eye catching details here to inspire clients. One of the most dramatic features of this open concept layout is the herringbone floor. Our Brushed Oak Lynnwood offers beautiful color variation and texture to the space, mixing perfectly with the different tones throughout. Surrounding the central herringbone feature is our Brushed North American Hard Maple Lemur which makes for an interesting detail and adds beautiful warmth to the room.
In the kitchen, fun details like floor to ceiling storage with a ladder for access show clients the level of customization possible. Trendy mixed metals, an industrial steel backsplash and a unique central island make this kitchen truly one of a kind.
At reception, modern and traditional pieces are mixed for an eclectic look. Our Brushed North American Hard Maple Lemur has more of a presence in this area, adding its warmth to an otherwise grey palette of finishes.
The back of the décor center has a variety of finishes and fixtures that homeowners can choose from including many from Kentwood Floors. There are large meeting tables so that each designer has plenty of space to lay out material boards for homeowners to visualize.
