A year or so ago, the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) launched a new online education initiative called NWFA University. The intention was to provide wood flooring professionals in all areas of the industry with easy access to education and professional development tools. The NWFA already had a well-respected certification program for technical skills like installation and inspection; NWFA University offered a broader program that could benefit those working in other areas of the business, such as sales.
At Metro’s spring sales meeting in April 2017, the company issued a challenge to every member of our sales team to complete the NWFA’s online training program before the next meeting, and nearly every one of them did. In fact, Metropolitan now boasts the highest proportion of NWFA Certified staff of any company in the industry.
At the next sales get-together in November 2017, we saluted all those Metro reps who completed the training and can now declare themselves ‘NWFA Certified Professional Sales Advisors’. As you can see from the picture, they are too many to name – but most readers will likely see a few familiar faces in the crowd.
