This is a big year for Metropolitan.
First, we’re celebrating our 25th Anniversary. We’re marking the occasion by giving the corporate identity a ‘refresh’, both to give the company a more contemporary feel and to reflect our broader product range (we’re not just hardwood floors anymore). To introduce the new logo, we’ve put together a short video that captures the company’s guiding spirit. We previewed this to our guests at Surfaces, but you can also see it at metrofloors.com/about. You’ll see the new identity appear throughout our ecosystem in the coming weeks.
A second big development is that we are on the cusp of launching a major upgrade to our company’s IT systems. This is a sweeping change that has been years in the planning and will affect virtually all of our operational, administrative and accounting functions (in some cases replacing systems we’ve been using almost as long as we’ve been in business!) The actual transition date is Friday, February 23 (you may have seen a recent notice announcing that all Metro facilities will be closed that day to affect the changeover).
This is a huge undertaking and we are confident it will result in smoother operations for us and faster, more efficient service for you. There are bound to be a few bumps in the road as we transition to the new system so we ask in advance for your patience and cooperation during the changeover. We will do our best to minimize disruption and maintain the high standard of service for which we are known.
